Human

Humans are the most common race in the world, and tend to be good in many fields with no unusual qualities. Humans come from many wildly differing cultures.

Human Attributes.

Humans are the norm. Relative cost is 0 in all attributes.

Hafling

Halflings are short (3' to 4'), free-spirited folk who are quick and light of foot, and especially known for their curiousity. While not strong or known for being able to keep to one subject for long, the Halfings make up for this in their incredible reflexes and agility, and surprisingly good stamina.

Elf

Elves are the tall children of the wind, moving with a silent ease and grace that other races find hard to master. They tend to be faster and more charismatic, but are also weaker.

Dwarves

Dwarves are the hearty children of the earth, and are short (3' to 4') and stocky. Females of the species are less common than the males, and often sport facial beards as thick and full as their male counter parts. Sturdy and resilient to poisons and diseases, the Dwarf's thick build impedes his or her agility and quickness.

Gor'tog

Gor'Tog are hairless humaniods with dark to light green tinted skin. They are strong, powerful creatures who can often be barbaric in personality and are commonly referred to as 'Low Brows' due to their seeming slow wits and intelligence. Although they tend to prefer dark areas and the underground, Gor'Togs move around in open daylight when necessary.

S'kra Mur

S'kra Mur are snakelike race who may or may not be related to the Gor'Togs. Over the years they have evolved into humanoids, but still retain many of the snake-qualities alongside the human ones. Suave and sure, S'kra are a proud people with a highly developed intelligence that rivals any race, even the Elotheans.

Elothean

Elotheans (or Ethloeans depending on the dialect) are a peaceful people who tend towards scholarly pursuits. Pale and ethereal, the Elotheans are often bald with light eyes and very light hair (where they have it). Elotheans are quick on their feet and extremely intelligent, but lack stamina and strength.

Prydaen

The Prydaen are a race of humanoids who share some characteristics with the cat races. Covered with short body fur of spectacular colors and variety, they are a strong and proud race. They have retractable claws that are especially deadly in brawling. They are a newer race in that they are not part of the history of this area. They migrated in the 357th year to the Dragon's Realms.

Rakash

The Rakash are human-sized and exhibit wolf-like characteristics. They undergo a transformation that seems associated with the moons of Elanthias in which they become more wolflike. Yet they retain all their humanoid characteristics. When in the wolf form their bite is deadly and their senses heightened. It is not uncommon to hear the haunting calls of the Rakash echoing throughout a moonlit night. They migrated tot he lands about the same time as the Prydaen.

Gnome

Small and crafty, this race excels in their ability to manipulate objects and figure out the inner workings of devices. Clever and inventive, they survive by their wits rather than strength. Halflings appear larger compared to a gnome. They too arrived in the 357th year, guided by the prophet-priests of their people who foretold the return of the Dragon.

Kaldar

While Human in shape and appearance, they scoff at claims that they are Human in heritage. Kaldar are generally much taller and stronger than Humans, but slightly smaller than Gor'Togs. They are known for their strength and determination; it is said that so long as blood remains in a Kaldar's heart they will never give up. While best known for their fierce warriors, the Kaldar have produced many fine minds. The Kaldar split from the fierce Gorbesh Tribes in the 357th year at the directions of the prophet-priests of their people. Arriving from the unexplored south and battling their way past the formidable barrier of the Black Hand, the Kaldar arrived with intent of finding the Dragon.
